What are your first impressions of a person, a website, a production, a business? What makes you stay and what makes you step away? It can be as easy as one click, or as ‘difficult’ as two. It can be your attention to detail, or the time you took to write a ‘pleasure to meet you’ email; the way you communicate your image to the world, and the way you interact one-on-one.
I’m a proponent of good communications, and know that this can make or break a project, production – or a relationship. We’re always learning from experience, and this website is host to mine – sharing and exposing the good, the bad, the ugly. Meeting In The Media is my forum for the truth that no one tells you – critiques, rants and general thoughts on communications, visual media, event production, the entertainment industry and its ‘industry professionals.’ You can also find tips and tutorials, information about how I work with certain media and design programs, along with shared design work, articles and videos.
As media changes, so should the flow of information. I’m an award-winning writer, artist and filmmaker with a passion for organization and design. Outside of the visual arts, I work as a media and communications consultant; I create websites, social media sites and digital strategy across various platforms, teaching others about both social media and content marketing through research and first-person experience.
Did you have difficulty finding me? If so, contact me and tell me how you think I can improve. MITM is about open communications and learning from experience; I’m always learning and trying to improve, too.
